Sylvia Aslanian

Ms. Sylvia has been a part of the Millhopper Montessori School family for seventeen years.  Her hobby and love for theater brought her  to MMS, where she created a Speech/ Drama and Debate course for students in first - eight grades.  For the past eight years, Sylvia has co-directed the Elementary/Middle School in the annual End of the Year Show held at PK Yonge. She has adapted many plays for the Summer Drama Camp, including several Shakespeare works.

 As the Middle School Drama teacher she has directed the middle school students in a Shakespeare Festival held every year at the the Thomas Center.  The mission of the Shakespeare Festival is to help younger students understand and enjoy  the works of Shakeperare. Sylvia woked for Moshe' Diamant  at Trans World Entertainment  in Los Angeles and learned many aspects of film. She also worked at Fun Amusements, Inc. producer of The Pee Wee Herman Show.

 

 

 

Christina Eckstein

Ms. Christina taught music at Millhopper Montessori School for four years. She is now a lead preschool teacher. After-school she directors the Spotlight Singers Vocal Ensembles.  She received her BM in education (K-12) from Youngstown State University (Ohio) in 2000 and her MM in performance from Florida State University in 2002. During her studies at FSU, she was also a graduate teaching assistant. Previously, Christina taught elementary music at Eagle Heights Academy, which is an urban charter school in Youngstown, Ohio. She directed her students in many musical programs within the school as well as in the community.
